I find that particular trends tend to rise to the surface again when we least expect them to and for me the last thing I thought would make such a prominent comeback in 2020 of all years would be the sweater vest. But I am fully here for it!
I picked up this Ralph Lauren sweater vest in my favourite vintage store The Myrne Collective based in Newry. It is perfect paired with other simple neutral pieces.

This H&M cable knit vest is another favourite of mine. Paired this one with an oversized white shirt and leather look jeans.

I have listed below my favourite vests from a range of options; some are designer, some are from the high street and some are made with more environmental consideration.
Designer:
For those who are looking to invest in a designer vest these are my top choices! These vary in detail, length and neckline which means everyone can find the best one suited to them! All these pieces are available on Net-a-porter and you will find them linked below.

Vests that don’t break the bank:
I find it is important now more than ever to make sure we are investing in items that will be with us for the long haul! So regardless of whether they come in and out of “style”, we continue to wear them and not wait for Instagram to give us the green light!
Below are my top picks.

For me I always find that sweater vests go best over shirts, tees and dresses. Layering is key but it’s always fun to mix and match a sweater vest with other parts of your wardrobe to see what works best!
